Distance Education Specialist
Liza Braunlich is the distance education specialist at the Purdue Center for Food and Agricultural Business. She joined the staff in 2000 to work with the MS-MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management program. She is responsible for guiding faculty through the process of transforming face-to-face delivered materials into distance-delivered courses. She manages course delivery for two on-going student cohorts and provides technical training on an as need basis.
Liza received her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Purdue University and worked for several years in San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona. Liza returned to Purdue and earned a master’s degree in instructional research and development with the intent of providing training and development services to the hospitality industry. Liza was hired as a consultant for the opening of Bellagio (Las Vegas), and Paris, Las Vegas (Las Vegas). After successfully completing those jobs, Liza began working for the Center for Food and Agricultural Business.
