How to Apply

Application Process

Applications for the MS-MBA will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 14, 2023. Each cohort has a capacity of 25-30 students. Those admitted after the limit has been reached will be placed on a waitlist.

Please contact the program manager with questions.

Two Schools, One Application

Applicants only have to apply through the Purdue University Graduate School. Once an application has been submitted, and all materials uploaded, the application circulates through the admissions committee comprised of three Agricultural Economics faculty members. If accepted to the Purdue portion of the program, the application is sent to Indiana University for review by the Kelley Executive Degree Programs admissions committee.

Admission decisions are based on the following:

  • Work experience—A minimum of three years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility is strongly recommended
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Previous Academic Record
  • GRE or GMAT Scores
  • English Proficiency

Applications are carefully evaluated. Applicant strengths in one area may offset weaknesses in another.

Deadline

The MS-MBA begins once a year in mid-August. It is suggested all materials be submitted by late Spring 2023, with a deadline of July 14, 2023.

International applicants should apply as soon as possible due to Kelley School of Business and graduate school deadlines. For more information, contact Taryn Nance, program manager.

Application Fee

Upon submission, applicants will be directed to an application payment portal. Either click the link for payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or follow the link for payment through Western Union.

An application will not be processed until the nonrefundable application fee has been paid. The Purdue Graduate School application fee is $60 (U.S. dollars) for domestic applicants and $75 (U.S. dollars) for international applicants.
