Dr. Kilders research leverages food marketing, agribusiness and experimental economics to better assist agricultural producers and stakeholders in the marketing system. She aims to increase our understanding of how consumers and other members of the agricultural supply chain make (food) choices and how these choices impact the food system, agribusinesses, and policies. Among other things, Dr. Kilders current research agenda focuses on two empirical themes: 1) consumer demand for food away from home and its impact in terms of health and nutrition (FAFH) and 2) emerging consumption trends and consumer acceptance of new food technologies.
